VE Testing

Hamfesters conducts FCC authorized VE (volunteer examiner) tests for Technician, General, and Extra class licenses monthly.

Every 2nd Saturday of the month at the Oak Forest High School, 151st. and Central Ave., Oak Forest, Illinois

Testing begins at 9:00 AM. We do ask that you arrive 10 minutes early to help us start on time.

Be sure to bring the appropriate fees (currently $14) for the test. We urge you to bring exact amount of cash. Bring picture identification, original and a copy of your license.

If you are upgrading, be certain to bring your papers (CSCE), and a copy of it, from prior testing sessions. You will also need to supply your social security number. This number is used by the FCC. (If you have registered with the ULS or CORE, you may use the ID number they gave you in place of your SSN)

Any questions about our VE testing should be directed to Tim Pechtold, AA9BV.
Email: aa9bv@amsat.org

Good luck with your exam!
